Not THAT Hard to Put TogetherJan 29, 2011
By icebear To those who thought it was nearly impossible to put together.... it wasn't that hard. It took me about 45 minutes. So don't be scared off by those who added up all the little bits.
I am happy that i bought it. The top is not varnished, but it is oiled. It is sturdy and rolls nicely, the wheels on one side can lock in place, which is nice. Mine is up against a wall so the little mini pantry and towel holder can't be used- as i expected and was fine with. It might make a good spice rack though- if you get the tall containers.
My only issue is that it is a bit expensive to ship, but otherwise its a great item and adds a lot of surface space to my kitchen.

Almost perfect~Jul 30, 2010

First: the biggest disappointment was that the top is not a stained top, just a solid, unfinished light wood when it arrived, which is ok, because I could sand it and stain it, but I expected the darker top as displayed in the picture.
Otherwise, its really awesome -- I found that the paper towel holder was almost completely useless, but that wasn't too surprising. It did take quite a while to put together, but most of the pieces are marked, so after a little organization it became a lot more clear.
I would not have been able to pick up the box, it was *very* heavy, but rolling it around on the casters is really easy. The shelves are a good size, perfect for my set of plates and some extras at the bottom. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to be able to use the small "pantry" shelves on the back of the trash bin. They're just too small for much of anything it seems.
Overall, I'm totally satisfied, as I didn't find anything else that came close to meeting my requirements.

Nearly impossible to assembleNov 29, 2008
By L. Kruger 1 - the number of boxes it takes for shipment of this item 11- the number of pages in the instruction booklet 23 - the number of wood pieces (panels, shelves) you'll have to put together 145 - the number of screws, bolts, anchors, wooden dowels etc. you'll use to put the 23 pieces together Yes, I counted.
It looks great, don't get me wrong but it took me 3 hours to put it together and I still managed to end up with 2 pieces and a few screws on the side. I'm not an idiot, I've put plenty of things together before but this is really a task. I reread the instructions to see where I went wrong and NO WHERE in the 11 pages of poorly sketched instructions did it say where to put item "G". Also, part (most) of the assembly uses wood glue (included) ... if you screw up you can't undo it without wrecking the white siding on the panels. Another downside of the instruction manual, it doesn't tell you which side is up, left, right, down etc. I managed to put together an entire part backward because I didn't know if the "raw" side was supposed to be up or down. It's very confusing and frankly not worth the hassle.
It looks great in my kitchen and it serves its purpose ... but it's not by any means perfect and for the $$$ plus shipping you might find something better.
