Finally I have organized my ribbons on spools. The Box holds 27 spools of ribbon from 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and stretching it at an inch. The spools can contain 20 yards of ribbon with no problem. The issue is the width of the spool which is why I state that an inch is stretching it as the spool encroaches into the neighboring slot and skews the divider. Also the ribbon must be threaded through the small eyelets for dispensing and those larger that 1/8 must be sorta folded over to make it fit. I was initially worried that it would crease or crimp my ribbon but no problem, it rolls out smoothly and ends up straight.
The box is sturdy enough. It is made of very thin chipboard or heavy cardstock and covered in a sturdy sail cloth type material. Works just fine but you can't stack anything on top of it. Must stand alone, on top or have its own cubby.
As a cardmaker I love that I am able to hold up my "in progress" card and see all my ribbon choices. Many times I have found a better choice than my original idea and I don't forget about any of them.

I bought this ribbon box for my daughter who likes to make hair bows. She was acquiring lots of ribbon spools and they were everywhere...and getting lost. This box is terrific. Easy to use and thread and keeps all ribbon in once place. It is easy to pull the right amount of ribbon out also!
